Rincón del Mar

Small fishing village on the waterfront, located on the Caribbean Coast, 60km as the crow flies from Cartagena de Indias.

Paddle excursion in the Rincon del Mar lagoon (Cienaga).
Navigation through its mangrove forest.
This excursion offered by Natura Travel (7US / person) is managed by our local service providers (fishermen and farmers), so that the local population is included in the tourism economy, all to promote their livelihoods.

Cerro Verde project, for each group going to Rincon del Mar, we pay USD 5 per client to the local NGO “Cerro Verde” to support the cleaning of the lagoon.

Correa

At the crossroads of the Dique Canal and the immense marsh of Maria La Baja is Correa, a fishing village of a thousand souls surrounded by banana plantations and cornfields. An authentic “palenque”, that is to say a community founded in colonial times by the “cimarrones”, slaves escaped from the haciendas. Halfway by water between the Caribbean coast and the Rio Magdalena, Correa is an exceptional site due to its exuberant nature and its Afro-Colombian cultural heritage.

All our clients take part in an hour-long paddle excursion to explore the lagoon (Cienaga).
15 USD per person is paid to the local service provider.

Mompox

Considered one of the colonial gems of Colombia, the city has been classified as a historical and cultural heritage of humanity by Unesco since 1995.

The Cumbia Dance School is located in San Francisco Square, they meet around 5 p.m., before sunset.

Customers are offered an hour of dance lessons, where they learn the basic stages of Cumbia, a typical dance of the Caribbean region, with students from the village.
10 USD / person is donated to students.
